At Cook Children's, we know how important it is to nourish your child's body and spirit, as well as your own. Whether it's a favorite treat, some play time or a new toy, we've got you covered.
You'll find amenities located throughout the medical center and adjoining medical office building, connected by a corridor we call “Main Street.” You'll find dining and snack options and retail shops to help you and your child feel at ease and create some quality family time.

Dining and snack options
Want a quick snack to refuel? Need a sit-down meal to recharge? We provide a range of dining options and formats, including:
Over the Moon cafeteria
If you've ever doubted cows could fly, think again. The bovine-themed Over the Moon cafeteria is located on the main floor of the medical center and provides a fun family atmosphere. We offer a variety of delicious and nutritious foods to satisfy guests of all ages.

Snack stop
When you're in the mood for a beverage or a little nibble, head for our snack stop located on the first floor across from Patient Registration. You'll find vending machines that contain all your favorites.
Recreation and entertainment
When your child has a stay in the medical center, laughter and play are sometimes the best medicine. We provide ample opportunities for you and your child to have some fun and relax with:
Playroom
The playroom is located on the fifth floor of the medical center to give your child some much deserved time away from their room. If you'd like some directed activities, one of our Child Life specialists can help.
In-room technology
At 65 inches, the TVs in our patient rooms are larger than most — and do more than your average screen, too. Our TVs are digital whiteboards that also offer:
- Interactive features: You can view your care team, access our library of health information and even order your child's food from the menu.
- Videoconferencing: Your doctor can bring in other Cook Children's specialists or family members for virtual discussions of your child's care.
MyCookChildren's app
Your MyCookChildren's app is just one more way we help make your stay easier. A meal or a snack is something children look forward to during their stay. With the app, food is just a tap away. Your child's choices are automatically coordinated with their doctors, so only approved foods appear. Your selections go straight to the kitchen and arrive at your child's room at your chosen time.

Peaks' Tech Zone
While technology is an increasing part of health care, it can feel overwhelming to learn. At Peaks Tech Zone, we help you access technology and show you how it can help you manage your child's health.
Located in the specialty clinics building between the elevators and the specialty registration desk, this resource is part technology lounge and part knowledge center. Our "techsperts" offer hands-on assistance with medical devices and apps. We also offer technology items for sale to help you stay connected throughout your visit.
Before you leave the Tech Zone, be sure to meet Peaks the Dragon and explore his world on our 90-inch interactive touch screen.

Retail pharmacy
Our retail pharmacy is located on the lower level of the medical center. We're here to meet all your prescription needs.
Why chose our pharmacy?
- Save time! We can fill your prescription before you go home.
- Our pediatric pharmacists specialize in making sure your child's medicines are safe and effective.
- We help you understand medication dosage, potential side effects and possible interactions with other medicines, food and drinks.
- We offer compounding, flavor-blended medications, over-the-counter medicines and medication check-ups.

My First Rodeo Gift Shop
A gift can brighten a child's day. Our gift shop offers something special for children of all ages. While you won't find saddles or spurs, we do carry:
