From leukemia diagnosis to triumph, the Oviedos share their story.

Perry was a vibrant, spirited three-year-old when her life was unexpectedly disrupted by persistent fatigue, a declining appetite and loss of color. Concerned, her family turned to Cook Children’s, where they received the devastating news that Perry was fighting leukemia.

Supported by the unwavering commitment and expertise of one of the nation’s premier pediatric cancer teams, Perry faced two years of intensive treatment with extraordinary bravery. Today, she is healthy, energetic and finally embracing the carefree childhood she deserves. This is her inspiring journey.
