The Volunteer Services Team

Making a difference

Playing with patients and siblings in the playroom or at bedside, comforting infants and toddlers, directing visitors, distributing comfort items to parents, and helping in the gift shop are just a few of the many ways our volunteers support patients, families, and staff.

"Volunteering at Cook Children’s has given me more pride in our community, opened my eyes to the many needs in the world around me, and helped me to feel fulfilled while helping others." — H/O Infusion Center volunteer

Adult volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, out of high school, and meet screening and orientation requirements. Volunteer opportunities are offered mornings, afternoons and evenings, seven days a week. Placements are scheduled according to staff requests and the volunteer's availability.
