HeartCode courses
HeartCode is a two-part program that blends self-directed, comprehensive e-learning via the internet with a hands-on skills check off. All HeartCode programs consist of two phases:
- Part 1 is the self-directed, e-learning portion required prior to moving on to Part 2.
- Part 2 is the skills verification required for the certification completion. To register for your skills check-off day, please select the appropriate course from the list below.
We offer HeartCode ACLS, HeartCode BLS, and Heart Code PALS. For more information about these courses, please click the title in the course list below. The AHA will not authorize any core curriculum changes in a course identified as an AHA ECC course. A student must be able to successfully perform all course requirements (skills tests and written exams) to receive a course completion card. If you have questions or require ADA accommodations for course completion, please call Education at 682-885-1137.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.
