Meet Dr. Michelle L. Marcincuk
How do lady bugs, dinosaurs, and dump trucks play a part in a physical exam? And, what do fist bumps, stickers, and lollipops have in common? Let's find out...
I have been in practice in Fort Worth since 2003. I spent the first eleven years practicing the whole spectrum of otolaryngology, including both adult and pediatric ENT. My work included all aspects of the specialty, including airway disorders, sinus disease and rhinology, head and neck cancer, salivary gland disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disorders and neoplasms, ear disease and hearing loss, facial trauma, and sleep apnea. I was also an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology and spent many years helping to train residents in this field. This time gave me an unusually wide range of experiences and allowed me to develop my skills as a clinician and surgeon.
While my practice was very busy and rewarding, over the years I found that I had the most fun treating children, and therefore decided to restrict my practice exclusively to pediatric ENT in 2014. As a mother of two adopted children from Guatemala, I have a deep love of children. I appreciate that they come in all shapes and sizes, and all different personalities. Whether they are goofy or scared, timid or chatty, I always try to identify with them on their level and tailor my approach to each child's individual needs to make them feel at ease during their visits. Thus, we often find lady bugs, dinosaurs, and dump trucks in the ears of our little patients. And I never underestimate the power of a fist bump, a lollipop, or stickers to make friends with even my most reluctant patients. I have found that my diverse experience in general ENT has been very important in helping me treat even the most unusual problems we see in our patients, who come from far and wide for care at Cook Children's.
Outside of the hospital, I can be found all over Fort Worth and beyond. I spend my free time with my children and husband. I enjoy running, traveling, reading, and going on nature walks with my kids and my pound puppies to discover the world.
I am so thankful for Dr. Marcincuk and her team. I arrived early for my son's appointment and they were able to work me in so I could dash off to work. This team has always provided 5 star care for my son. Dr. Marcincuk brings sunshine to the room and calms even the most testing toddler. We love our ENT family! – Patient family

Dr. Marcincuk is our sons guardian angel. She is so kind, caring, and the best in the field. She took time to explain the diagnosis and treatment recommendations. I'm sure she could tell we were anxious and worried first time parents. Dr. M made time to return our call the night before surgery because we were questioning our decision. She made us feel at ease by sharing objective information and expressing her opinions with care and concern. Never did we feel forced to make any particular decision and we felt supported no matter what. We are so thankful for Dr. Marcincuk, she gave us our son back and we can enjoy him as a 2 month old without the feeding and breathing issues. I just hope she knows how special and talented she is!

We'd like to recognize Brittany the receptionist who took my call seriously and took time to call the on call doctor to see if we could get an earlier appointment. She was instrumental in changing my sons life, because of her willingness to work with us we got in to see the doctor the next day and ended up needing surgery for him. I cannot thank her enough for being thorough, compassionate, and working with an exemplary standard of integrity.

Dr Marcincuk was wonderful with my children. She explained what she was doing before she did it and joked around with my kids. She explained my options for my child's care and made sure I had no questions or concerns throughout the visit. I will recommend Cook ENT to anyone that needs their services.

Our appointment was accidentally cancelled but Alice and Dr. Marcincuk were so helpful and both called me to correct the issue. Dr. Marcincuk is wonderful, took time to answer our questions and assess our son. She was friendly and kind. She has cared for both our boys in the past and we have received nothing but exceptional care from her and her staff.
