My 3 kids all have complex medical needs. We have a lot of medical providers and a lot of medical appointments. Our experience with Dr. Acosta was one of the best interactions we have ever had with a medical provider. He was respectful, courteous, thoughtful, took careful detailed notes, showed us imaging pointing out why he thinks what he does and what he would expect to see if it was something else, he listened to hear and understand, and included us in the process, never once talked down to us. I felt like an equal partner in my child's healthcare.

Dr. Acosta was incredibly attentive to my son. He listened to him, and he got to know him and his personality before the exam even officially started. He also shared personal anecdotes that helped us understand more about why we were there. He truly made my husband, and I feel so much more at ease about the reason for our visit. In the future, I would highly recommend Dr. Acosta to any patient.

We have nothing but appreciation and good things to say about cook's! It can be a scary place for parents at times. But the staff (all staff) have been nothing but fantastic, and that lessens the fear of having a kiddo at cook's. So thankful we have this children's hospital available in the area.

We would like to recognize Dr. Acosta. All of us (Mom, Dad, and patient) appreciated his thoroughness and his willingness to teach all of us how to manage an ongoing health issue. We really feel like he listened to our daughter's health issue and took his time with her, trying to figure out the plan of action. He was fantastic, when it came to questioning our child about her health problem. I have already recommended him to someone else looking for a pediatric neurologist. Cooks children's is blessed to have a caring Dr. (which I know it takes special people to work with children and illnesses). We are so thankful for having cook's and all of the staff, everyone has been absolutely amazing. From the past up to the present day.
