Concerning Dr. Varghese, I was more impressed with her than I have been with a healthcare professional in a very long time. Especially in pediatric care. She was absolutely amazing. My daughter and I talked about it all the way home and couldn't wait to tell my husband how happy we were that Dr. Varghese was her new physician. In 11 years I've had contact many pediatricians. Dr. Varghese is at the very top of that list. Her bedside manner, the way she interacts with her patient as well as the communication and respect with the parent really, is unmatched. I don't say this lightly because there's usually something that could be improved upon. I really can't think of one thing she could have improved on. It really meant a lot to me, as a parent. I have found that many doctors and nurses that work in pediatrics become desensitized and exhausted over time. This was the first appointment I had with my child where I had a serious concern about his development and she took the time to listen patiently to all of my worries and asked questions to get a clear picture of what's going on. She offered advice and expertise and reassured me - while we don't have an immediate "fix" for the issues we are seeing, it was so nice to be validated and understood and we did outline some next steps to take as well as a point in the future to keep in mind as a checkpoint for further intervention. On top of that, she always seems to genuinely take an interest in my kids and what they have going on in their non-medical lives. She remembers little details about our family and both of my kids love coming to see her.
