Gastroenterology and Nutrition Services
Gastroenterology and Nutrition Services provides care for children and teenagers with diseases and disorders of the digestive system.
Cook Children's provides pediatric gastrointestinal motility diagnostic testing for pediatric patients. Digestive motility happens when the intestines cannot move normally which can cause severe constipation, diarrhea, difficulty swallowing and tube feeding intolerance. Cook Children's Gastroenterology and Nutrition Services also offers therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopy, which is a flexible tube with a video camera used to look inside the gastrointestinal tract. Your doctor may also suggest pyloric balloon dilation for your child.
