Meet Faith Swiney

Hi, I'm Faith Swiney! I'm a dedicated pediatric nurse practitioner with 7 years of experience in providing compassionate care to our Cook Children's patients. I began my nursing career in the Cook Children's emergency department, where I developed my nursing skills and assessment. I then transitioned to the NICU at Cook Children's, where I spent a year caring for the tiniest of patients. After earning my master's degree from Texas Tech University, I transitioned into a nurse practitioner role at the McCart Neighborhood Health Center. I'm board-certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. I specialize in pediatric patients from birth through adolescence, and am committed to partnering with families to ensure the best possible health outcomes for their children. My approach to care emphasizes education, prevention and holistic wellness. Outside of my clinical practice, I regularly participate in continuing education to stay at the forefront of pediatric healthcare advancements.

When not caring for patients, I enjoy hiking, swimming and spending time with my husband and two toddlers. I appreciate working alongside my teammates at Cook Children's and enjoy building lasting relationships with the families in our community.

    There was multiple tests to be done, and the staff worked seamlessly to ensure that the tests were completed throughly, all the while in respect of our time. We were rarely left in the room alone for more than two minutes!

    Anytime I have visited this location its been amazing, im a First time mom, with a lot of mom-xiety & no parents of my own to call for advice but the team here at this location has done what they can to make sure my fears are settled & that I as a mom am reassured whether it is in office, through the chat or the nurse line. I have recommended this location as well as Dr. Swiney numerous times to the moms in my local facebook group. I truly believe Dr. Swiney & this team kept me sane during the hardest times of my post partum anxiety & I could not ever be thankful enough.You guys deserve all the flowers.

    My daughter was offered to talk to therapy to find out why she sometimes feels low on energy and the next day they contacted me to look for a place with appointments available for therapy and we got an appointment very soon, thank you
