Meet Jadrien Berry

My name is Jadrien but most people call me Jade. I have been a nurse since January 2005. I worked as an adult trauma nurse for about 13 years and as an elementary school nurse for 7 of those years. I knew I wanted to concentrate on pediatrics as a nurse practitioner when I completed my pediatric clinicals with Dr. Vert at Cook Childrens Pediatrics - Burleson. I felt right at home and realized I should have been working with children my whole career as a nurse. I have an older teenager myself, so I relate easily to those parents and can meet them where they are. I love being a part of my family's journeys as they navigate through being newborn parents, to toddler parents and then school-aged parents. I like to create a "team" approach to health care with the whole family, including children, so they are part of their health care choices. This empowers my patient families to be confident in their choices and to trust that I have their best interest in mind. Outside of work I'm active in my church and work in the nursery. I'm a local Boy Scout Troop leader and my son is an Eagle Scout, so scouting is a very big part of our lives. We've been blessed to go to Switzerland and Alaska with the Crew (part of Boy Scouts). My family and I love to travel too. I'm also a huge dog lover and have four! These experiences, plus being a mom, have greatly helped shape me into the health care provider I am today.

    Jade Berry is the sweetest! She was very patient and understanding with our autistic son. The MA that got vitals was also so great. She was so kind and efficient. I appreciate how they are understanding with autistic children.

    Jade was very comforting with the potential of our daughter's first broken bone. She walked us through the steps for a break or sprain. She coordinated with the imaging facility and we got a results back quickly.
