Meet Phuong (Thao) Le

Thao has always had a passion for helping others, especially after witnessing the outpouring of love and support from the community she grew up in. She graduated from UT Arlington in 2013 with her bachelor's degree and worked as a bedside nurse in the neonatal ICU for six years. She's always felt a pull toward caring for the little humans whose strength and resiliency she admires, especially through the health challenges they face.

In 2019, she completed her master's degree to become a board-certified family nurse practitioner and knew her primary focus would be caring for the younger patient population, given her NICU background. Once she entered the world of pediatric primary care, her love for educating families multiplied, along with her passion for preventive health and wellbeing. All the while, she built a foundation of trust, relationship and empathy with her patients and their families.

Thao lives in Arlington with her husband and son. As a first-time mom, Thao has learned that motherhood is all about giving yourself grace and realizing you are enough, even on your toughest days. This has allowed her to practice kindness towards herself and encourage her patients' parents to also have self-compassion, because being a parent is already hard enough as it is. She has learned that more often than not, we are already the parent we want to be.

Outside of work, Thao enjoys traveling, going on family walks, building magnetic racing tracks with her son, completing LEGO sets (42 and counting!), listening to audiobooks, looking for local food hot spots and always leaving room for a boba drink as her dessert of choice.

Thao is excited to be a part of the Cook Children's Keller Heritage team and hopes to make a difference in this community!
