Meet Dr. Courtney Horton
As an ER doctor and a mom, Dr. Horton knows how important it is to have access to high quality and convenient care that is specific to childhood emergencies. Dr. Horton completed her undergraduate education at the University of Texas in Austin. She completed her medical education at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where she pioneered the way for medical students to complete clinical rotations at what is now Dell Children's hospital in Austin. She did her Pediatric internship at Weill Cornell Presbyterian Children's Hospital in New York and completed her Pediatric Residency in Dallas at Children's Medical Center. She obtained her Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship training at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN. Dr. Horton has a passion for helping children and their families during their most critical times. She joins the Cook Children's family to start the Pediatric Emergency Department as Medical Director in Prosper.
