Meet Dr. Cynthia Lugo-Iglesias

I am originally from Mexico, where I grew up watching my father serve the community as a physician. His dedication and professionalism inspired me to become a doctor myself. Following in his footsteps, I attended medical school at the University of Guadalajara. Later, I moved to Brooklyn to complete my pediatric residency at SUNY Downstate, where I also had the opportunity to work as Chief Resident.

One of my favorite parts of being a pediatrician is getting to know the families I care for and working together to help their children feel better. Being bilingual is an important part of who I am, and I love being able to connect with families in both English and Spanish to help them feel comfortable and involved in their child's care.

Outside of the hospital, I love traveling, cooking, learning new languages and spending time with my husband. I am happy to call Fort Worth home and very proud to be part of the Cook Children's family!
