Meet Dr. Rachelle Herring
As soon as she shadowed a pediatric neurologist during her first year of medical school, Dr. Rachelle Herring knew pediatric neurology would be her chosen field. For her, having the opportunity to care for children and their families in a fascinating and ever-changing discipline is a true privilege.
Dr. Herring treats a wide variety of neurologic disorders, from the straightforward to the rare and complex. No matter the diagnosis, her goal is to establish relationships with the families of the children she treats in order to make the best individualized treatment choices for each child, while providing the highest quality of care possible.
When not at Cook Children's, Dr. Herring is spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs. She loves good food, board games and indoor cycling.

What our families say

My teen's neurologist was retired so I was bit hesitant to see Dr Herring. But she is an amazing doctor. She answered every single question with such a calm and collected response, her bedside manners were 5stars. I did not feel overwhelmed or underwhelmed by her behavior. She's best at her job. I wish all the doctors are like that. Zero waiting time and she gave us an hour to listen all our questions and concerns. We left highly pleased and satisfied from her office. Even the front seat person was so wonderful and helpful. Really really happy and definitely will suggest everyone I know need child neurologist. I wish all doctor's treat parents and families in same manner.

The doctor was so personable and great with our son. I've never seen him so at ease during an exam. She played with him and made it feel less like a doctor's visit and more like a friend visiting with our child.
