Meet Dr. Sandy Cope-Yokoyama
Sandy Cope-Yokoyama, MD has been a pediatric pathologist with Cook Children’s Medical Center since 2014. Dr. Cope graduated with a BS in chemistry, magna cum laude, from Allegheny College, Meadville, Pennsylvania in 1997 and she received her medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 2002. Dr. Cope completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals, Houston, Texas in 2006 and was Chief Resident from July 2004 - June 2005. She completed a fellowship in Pediatric Pathology at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 2008. Dr. Cope was Assistant Professor, Department of Pathology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas from August 2008 - July 2014. She is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology and Pediatric Pathology.
