Meet Dr. Ahmad Qawasmi
Dr. Ahmad Qawasmi (Dr. Q) received his Pediatric Residency at Children's Hospital of Michigan, Wayne State University. He continued his education at the University of Southwestern Medical Center, Children's Medical Center, Dallas, TX.
Dr. Q. worked as a Research Assistant at Yale University, Yale Child Study Center, CT. During his time at Yale, he was able to publish several articles in distinguished journals such as Pediatrics and JAMA. He joined Altru Health System in the Mayo Clinic Network, Grand Forks, ND. There, he created a well-established pediatric career with exceptional feedback from families and team members.
Dr. Q was a former Baylor Scott and White Hospital employee. He cared for pediatric patients of different ages but his focus was on newborn and neonatal pediatric care. He is experienced in managing pediatric patients who were born premature and have complex needs.
I love being a pediatrician. The care for a child requires partnership and teamwork, so it's important to establish strong relationships with families - and especially children - built on trust. Children often surprise me, especially toddlers. They're very smart and remember everything – so trust is critical to their care.
