Dr. Hunt grew up in Washington State and moved to Fort Worth, Texas, to complete high school. From an early age, she dreamed of becoming a pediatrician and has always loved working with children. Her passion for medicine was deeply shaped when her mother bravely survived cancer while Dr. Hunt was just eight years old. Inspired by that experience, she became the first in her family to pursue a career in medicine.
She completed medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and went on to finish her pediatric residency at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas.
Dr. Hunt believes one of her greatest strengths as a physician is that she became a mom and a public-school teacher before becoming a doctor. This experience helped ground her and gave her a unique perspective on balancing evidence-based medicine with the realities of everyday family life. As a mother of two -- one in college and one in elementary school -- she understands firsthand the joys and challenges of each stage of childhood.
Dr. Hunt considers it a privilege to walk alongside families through both the exciting and challenging seasons of life. She is passionate about building long-lasting relationships rooted in trust and providing compassionate, evidence - based care in an environment where children feel safe, cherished and parents feel truly heard.
Dr. Hunt loves spending time outdoors and being active with her family. She loves running, rock climbing, playing pickleball. She loves to travel and her favorite place to be with her family is at the beach.
