Meet Dr. Anna Nezafati
Born and raised in Minnesota, but officially calling Texas home for the last 18 years, I always had a passion for science and math. Becoming a doctor just made sense. It was the perfect blend to fulfill my scientific intrigue and my desire to help and make an impact on my community.
Through my exposure to the many fields of medicine during medical school, I found myself lingering the longest gazing at the newborns, engaging sick toddlers with the hope of making them smile, and admiring the impact a pediatrician could have on the whole family. I love that as a pediatrician, the variety in my day allows me to go from reassuring new parents, to helping teens navigate the stresses of school and social media. After spending my first year of practice solely caring for newborns and teaching students as an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern, I was thrilled to put down roots in caring for the Denton community.
When not in the office, my two young girls and husband keep me busy. We enjoying swimming, bike rides, reading, and venturing out to try new restaurants. We are passionate about supporting education for all children and the Denton Public School Foundation.
I was so impressed with Dr. Nezafati. She did a very thorough exam and took extra time and answered every question. She was really great. We really love Dr. Nezafati. – Patient family
