Meet Dr. Jennifer Piehl
I believe that I was put on this planet to be a doctor and more specifically, a pediatrician. The joy that I receive from watching children grow and develop into the young people they are meant to be is priceless and a gift I do not take for granted. A parent choosing to allow me to come along on their child's journey from infant, to toddler, to child, teen and young adult is such an amazing honor and partnering with families on that journey fulfills me each and everyday.
I started in private practice in 2005 and for the first 14 years of my career I practiced in Orange County, California. I was blessed to be mentored by some incredible seasoned pediatricians during that time. In 2019, my family relocated to Prosper, like so many families we were seeking great schools, a smaller town and family focused environment. I stayed in private practice in the McKinney and then Prosper areas before joining Cook Children's. I could not be more excited in joining Cook Children's and the phenomenal Celina team. I feel like the last 19 years has been preparing me for the opportunity to serve the families in this growing area.
When I am not in the office, my three children keep me and my husband BUSY whether or the soccer field, at the hockey rink, in the band hall, on the basketball court, or at debate tournaments, you name it, they are doing it. When we are not struggling to keep up with the Google calendar we love traveling and exploring new areas, favorite trips to date include Iceland, England, Vatican City and Alaska to name a few. We also are trying to see our former local California NHL team, the Anaheim Ducks, play in all the NHL arenas, we are about halfway there.

The nurses on very responsive. As soon as we call for emergency appointments they try to accommodate you as much as possible. They are very caring and so the providers.
