To be exact, it was at her nine-month-old well child check when she repeatedly echoed the word "temperature" after hearing the nurse. At the age of 5, after the difficult decision to abandon her brief dreams of becoming a cowgirl or the President, Dr. Galipp settled on pursuing a career as a pediatrician and never looked back.<br /><br /> Dr. Galipp grew up in the small central Texas town of Giddings, and attended Texas A&M University where her premedical studies focused on nutritional sciences and biology. She attended medical school at UNTHSC-TCOM in Fort Worth, where she met her husband. She completed many of her pediatric rotations at Cook Children's, further solidifying her love of caring for kids. Dr. Galipp completed her pediatric residency at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, as well as a pediatric hematology and oncology fellowship. She and her family have been looking forward to getting back to their Texas roots and closer to their families!<br /><br /> Despite being trained in hematology and oncology, Dr. Galipp has always remained passionate about primary care in pediatrics as a foundation for helping children grow and reach their full potentials. She finds joy in developing meaningful partnerships with her patients and their families, and creating a long-lasting relationship of trust and confidence.<br /><br /> During her spare time, Dr. Galipp enjoys spending time with her husband Eric and son Miles, her furry children – German shorthair pointers Riley and Finn, and additional family and friends. Dr. Galipp loves cheering on her favorite sports teams, including the Texas Aggies, Dallas Cowboys, and San Antonio Spurs.
