Meet Dr. Mariam Nasir

Hi! I'm Dr. Nasir. I grew up in Fairfax, Va., just outside Washington D.C. My journey to becoming a pediatrician started early in medical school when I volunteered at an afterschool program for children battling cancer. I'll never forget their laughter and resilience. They had this incredible ability to find joy and hope, even in the toughest times. Each child I met inspired me with their strength and spirit, igniting my passion for pediatrics and reinforcing my desire to support children during their most vulnerable moments.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from George Mason University before obtaining my medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. I then moved to Texas, where I completed my residency in pediatrics at Children's Health/UT Southwestern. During my pediatrics training, I found immense joy in building lasting relationships with families and witnessing the growth and progress of the children I cared for which solidified my decision to go to into general pediatrics. The opportunity to provide preventive care and educate families about health resonated deeply with me, especially after I had my own son during residency.

Navigating motherhood allowed me to gain a profound understanding of the joys and struggles families face every day. It taught me the importance of empathy, patience, and support - qualities I strive to embody in my practice. Whether it's supporting parents through breastfeeding, navigating the challenges of potty training, or guiding families during the often tumultuous teenage years, I'm here for both the kids and the parents. I strive to provide a safe space where families can share their concerns, celebrate their victories and milestones, and feel empowered in their roles.

Outside of work, you'll often find me exploring different playgrounds, restaurants and coffee shops around DFW with my husband and son. I also love to cook, bake and try new recipes. My husband and I have fallen in love with our community in North Texas, and we're thrilled to call it our home. I look forward to serving the Allen community for years to come!

    Everyone was great!

Dr. Nasir was amazing. Professional and listened to all my concerns and questions. She did a thorough exam. I'd like to give a shout out to Nurse [...] who did an amazing job with my child's vaccination in easing my child and making her feel comfortable. She knew where to best administer the vaccination either the shoulder arm or thigh muscles to lessen the pain. She was also prepared with bandaids ready and to quickly administer the vaccination shots. The clinic was so nice and treated my child with respect as if she was the client/ customer. My child checked-in herself and was greeted by the nicest and professional receptionist, didn't need my help in checking her in. It was so child-friendly. Thank you!

Although Dr. Nasir is not our primary pediatrician, we are always so grateful that the office can accommodate sick visits with one of the pediatricians. Very happy to have found this office as we have been very happy with the care we have received.

The entire office. We moved to this practice earlier this year after being with our other pediatrician since the kids came home from the NICU (13 years ago as of this past week). I've never been more happier and satisfied with the decision I made in switching pediatricians.
