My desire to work in pediatrics arose from the enjoyment of spending time with the kids during high school working as a hospital volunteer. My decision was easy after my experience in medical school. Simply put, my husband noted I was happiest on the days I was working with kiddos.<br /><br /> My journey with Cook Children's started in 2014 and I opened the Haslet office in January 2016. I came to Cook Children's with over 12 years of experience in general pediatrics.<br /><br /> Something that is very important to me is building trust with the parents and kids I see. That begins with good communication - listening to the concerns of parents, kids and teens and being able to answer questions and offer guidance can go a long way in helping families build healthy lifestyles now and into the future.<br /><br /> I enjoy having the opportunity to share my love of pediatrics teaching medical students and I am excited to collaborate with the new TCU and UNTHSC School of Medicine. While I love all aspects of general pediatrics, I have an interest in asthma and allergy.<br /><br /> Outside the office, I spend most of my time with my husband and three daughters.
