Meet Dr. Suzanne Hood
Hi! I'm Dr. Hood, I'm excited to tell you a little more about me! I was born in South Africa, but moved to Texas at the age of 15. I completed my education at Abilene Christian University, followed by medical school at the UNT Health Science Center. I then completed my residency training at Santa Rosa Children's Hospital.
For the past four years, I've been serving as a missionary overseas in Kijabe, Kenya. I have learned more about practicing medicine in a low-resource setting, a little Swahili, and quite a bit about monkey proofing my home.
Working with children is something that has always brought me joy. I love children's' energy, their curiosity and their honesty which can often bring out a laugh.
I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two daughters together. I'm excited to help build a connected health care plan for your child and to help you ensure they grow up to be happy and healthy.

It was an excellent experience, dr. Hood was so nice as usual patient and listened to our concerns and took good care of our sons. [...] was so nice and she did really good comforting my sons who were really anxious and crying about the needle(lab work) and after the visit, my kids told me to give her 5 stars.

My child had a huge meltdown about getting her vaccines but Dr. Hood and her team handled it so well and got them done. Most importantly they treated us with complete respect and kindness despite the meltdown.
