Meet Dr. Monal Patel
Dr. Monal Patel's interest in Pediatrics started at a young age, growing up in a large family caring for younger siblings and cousins.
Dr. Patel is a board certified Pediatric Pulmonologist. She attended medical school at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. After completing her residency training in Pediatrics at Maimonides Children's and Infant's Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Patel completed a fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Emory University School of Medicine. Prior to joining the team at Cook Children's Hospital, Dr. Patel was on faculty at Cohen Children's Hospital-Northwell Health in New Hyde Park, New York where she served as the Associate Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center, and had a clinical focus in chronic lung disease of prematurity and complex airway abnormalities.
Her clinical interests include chronic lung disease of prematurity, airway anomalies, asthma, chronic cough, cystic fibrosis.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Patel focuses on the importance of family centered care, striving to treat every child and family for their own unique medical and personal needs. The courage and resilience of her patients and families inspires her to provide excellent care everyday.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, learning about different countries and cultures, enjoys fitness, and watching live music with her husband.
