Sloan</h2></div> <p class="my-4">Growing up as an Air Force "brat," I didn't know there were specialties in medicine. It was only after I was accepted to medical school that I realized that becoming a flight surgeon wasn't the only option available to me. While in medical school, I learned I have a passion for understanding and treating rashes and infectious diseases. This combination has served me well working in the urgent care and emergency services departments at Cook Children's.<br /><br /> When I'm not caring for patients, I can be found at TCU/UNTHSC Medical School teaching first year students clinical skills and the art of empathy.<br /><br /> I've been at Cook Children's since 2004.
