As a young child, I would routinely give advice to family members over the phone which included. "Take Tylenol and Motrin as needed," mimicking what I had heard my father tell patients when on call. These early experiences created a desire to pursue medicine, and specifically, pediatrics. As a young adult, I personally experienced how illness within a family can affect dynamics. Through this experience, I became passionate about communication with families, specifically during times of their child's illness. I'm excited to join Cook Children's and to serve children and their families.
