Endorsed by the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology, this recognition highlights programs providing exceptional care for people born with congenital heart disease.
For families who have trusted Cook Children's since childhood, this means the same expert care continues well into the adult years. Our ACHD program is one of only a few in the nation offering specialized inpatient and outpatient care for teens and adults with congenital heart disease. Patients don't have to start over with a new care team. They can stay with the people who already understand their history and their needs.
We even have adult congenital heart patients who share doctors with their own children who have congenital heart conditions and are growing up under the care of our specialists.
