Meet Dr. Diana Lebron
I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Brooklyn, New York. From a young age, I knew that my passion lay in the field of medicine, specifically in caring for children. At 13, I discovered my calling to become a pediatrician. Growing up, I was always drawn to taking care of children and had a natural curiosity in science. This passion only grew stronger when I had the incredible opportunity to meet Professor James Watson during my time in junior high school. His groundbreaking work in genetics and his dedication to advancing medical knowledge left a lasting impression on me.
My educational journey led me to pursue my dreams at NYU, where I received comprehensive training that solidified my desire to become a sub-specialist. It was during this time that I had the privilege of working with a mentor who introduced me to the field of Child Neurology. I loved the complexity and challenges of working with teenagers and decided to specialize in this area. I am particularly interested in headache disorders. The field of headache and migraine research was rapidly growing, and I was fascinated by the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those suffering from these debilitating conditions. This led me to become a headache specialist, focusing on understanding the underlying causes and developing personalized treatment plans for my patients. When it comes to treating headaches and migraines, I believe in taking a holistic approach. Each patient is unique, and their treatment should reflect that. By understanding the pathophysiology of headaches and migraines, I can tailor treatment plans to address the specific needs and triggers of each individual. It's an exciting time in the field, with advancements being made in distinguishing different types of headaches and migraines, allowing for more targeted and effective treatments.
I am proud to be a part of Cook Children's, a health care organization that shares my philosophy of caring for the whole child and improving their quality of life. I find immense joy in applying my knowledge of Neurology to each patient, working closely with them and their families to find the best possible solutions. I also enjoy the opportunity to teach and learn from medical students and residents, as the field of Neurology is constantly evolving, and there is always something new to discover.
Outside of my professional life, I have a few personal interests that bring me joy and balance. In the past, I had a hobby of riding motorcycles, but I eventually decided to give it up for safety reasons. My love for animals led me to discover a new passion for horses. I hope to find the time to go horseback riding and reconnect with that sense of freedom and connection with nature. Additionally, I am an avid fitness enthusiast and have set a personal goal to run a marathon someday.
In my personal life, I am the proud owner of two beautiful rescue dogs who bring endless joy and companionship. They have become an integral part of my life and provide me with a sense of comfort and happiness. Overall, I feel incredibly fortunate to have found my calling in the field of Pediatric Neurology, specifically in the treatment of headaches and migraines. It is a privilege to make a positive impact on the lives of my patients and their families, and I am grateful for the continuous learning experience that comes with it.

I wrote the appointment time down wrong, so we were 25 minutes late. The staff still took us immediately. They were very understanding. We have never been late for an appointment before.

Dr. LeBron is phenomenal. She is one of the first doctor's I feel has actually listened to me and "gets" my child and the concerns I have for my child. She follows through immediately on recommendations she gives for other facilities to get the help we need.

Everyone in the office from beginning to end is always so kind and helpful. Dr. Lebron always goes above and beyond for my daughter. She is direct and honest and explains everything in a way that I and my daughter can understand.
