Meet Dr. Scott Chowning

I was raised in Oklahoma and attended Baylor University as an electrical engineering and premed student. I then attended the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore and completed my pediatrics residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. I've been a practicing pediatrician since 2012.

I chose pediatrics because of the long-term relationships we have the opportunity to build with our patients, beginning at birth and continuing through adulthood. The chance to provide that level of continuity is especially rewarding and is found in very few other fields of medicine. It's also an honor to earn parents' trust and have the privilege of caring for their children. Watching children grow and develop over time is truly a pleasure, and, honestly, we have more fun with our patients than the adult doctors do.

My wife, Courtney, and I have three sons and a daughter, and we live in Celina. On weekends, you can often find us at Lake Ray Roberts, escaping the Texas heat.
