Your generosity brings joy to our patients, patient families and staff at the Cook Children’s medical center in Fort Worth. If you're looking for a way to help fulfill a need, provide assistance, bring a smile to patients and families, please consider the following information.

What should I give?

Please give:

Items that are new with tags or in packaging. Due to the immunosuppressed nature of the patients we serve, we are unable to accept used items.
Our greatest needs. These are highlighted on our 'wish list' found below.
Items from our shopping links listed below.
Multicultural toys and multilingual books.

Please do not:

Gift wrap your donation.
Donate stuffed animals or handmade items, due to infection control reasons, we are unable to accept these items.
Handmade items which include: hats and beanies, fleece blankets, etc.
Donate items that may be perceived as violent or items with religious content. Out of cultural humility and service to a diverse population, we cannot use these items.
Donate latex balloons, clothes, candy or food items.
Due to privacy, safety and infection control policies, gifts may NOT be delivered directly to the patients.

Emergency Department

As a Level II trauma center, we provide 24-hour pediatric and surgical care with access to experts from more than 60 specialties. Your gift is greatly appreciated.

TCU/RCU

Consider the wish list for our Transitional Care Unit (TCU) and Rehab Care Unit (RCU).

Hematology and Oncology

Our team is often asked about the needs of the patients in the HO department. This list highlights our current needs.

Sit…Stay…PLAY

Your gift helps our crew of happy and helpful golden retrievers, golden doodles and labrador retrievers be able to do their job of being a playful light to our patients.

Cardiology

This is for the patients seen by cardiology both inpatient and outpatient, we appreciate you helping and supporting our patients!

Donation drop off

We accept donations all year long! Donations can be dropped into our donation bin at our main medical center entrance in Fort Worth. For large donations, please make an appointment for drop off. If you have further questions, please call 682-885-4241 or email megan.hodgescook@cookchildrens.org
