The MyCookChildren's app is innovation at its best — technology designed to enhance your child's care when visiting us in Prosper. Manage your child's appointments and ask questions of your child's provider. If your child is admitted to our medical center in Prosper, you'll find a suite of new features to make your stay more comfortable.

What is MyCookChildren's?

With MyCookChildren's, you gain access to a secure patient portal that helps you manage your child's care. View test results, message your provider with questions about your child's care, make appointments and much more.

Downloading the MyCookChildren's app brings all the capabilities of the patient portal to your mobile device. Prosper-specific features will also appear on the app when you check in to our medical center.

Look at all you can do with the app

If your child is admitted to our Prosper medical center, you'll find a new section in your MyCookChildren's app called “Current Visit.” Take a look at some of the helpful things you can do.

Order food

A meal or a snack is something children look forward to during their stay. Now you don't have to call or fill out a paper form to order your meals. With our app, food is just a tap away.

Your child's choices are automatically coordinated with their doctors, so only approved foods appear. Your selections go straight to the kitchen and arrive at your room at your chosen time.

Connect with your TV

Bypass the remote and operate your TV right from your phone. You can change the station, turn up the volume and view the programming guide.

Navigate through the medical center

We know how challenging it can be to find your way around a medical center, especially when you're worried or distracted. Our app's wayfinding tool takes the guesswork out of getting where you need to go.

To start, tap open the map icon. You'll see a map of the medical center and a blue dot showing your location. As you move, the blue dot moves with you. You can pull up points of interest and plot a course. The app tells you where to turn and guides you to your destination.

Find health information

Our app includes articles and videos about a wide range of medical topics. Your doctor may send you specific health information based on your child's needs. Or, you can browse our comprehensive library of topics.

Get a list of medications

We've made managing your child's medications quick and easy. Our app maintains a complete list of medications in your child's medical record. One glance tells you the type of medication and how often your child should take it. You can also request medication refills.

Review your lab results

During your stay, your doctor shares lab results with you personally and explains what they mean. We also publish lab results to the app after your child's discharge.

View your daily schedule

A stay in the medical center usually involves a certain amount of waiting for doctor visits, tests and procedures. With our app, you can see your schedule for the day. Knowing what to expect can reduce your child's feelings of uncertainty. It can also help you plan your day if you have to step away for a short time.

Meet your care team

Your care is easier when you see a familiar face. Our app lists your care team with their photos. If you have a new doctor or nurse taking care of you that day, you'll know who will be coming through the door.

In-room digital whiteboard

Each patient room has a 65-inch digital whiteboard that functions as a TV and interactive display. The whiteboard mirrors the MyCookChildren's app in many ways, allowing you to:

View your medical providers
Access health information
Check your schedule for the day
Order food

The whiteboard is also a videoconference screen. Your medical team can use this feature to bring other Cook Children's specialists or family members into the room for virtual consultations.

Peaks Tech Zone is also home to Peaks the Dragon. While there, you and your child can take an adventure through Peaks' world on our 90-inch interactive touch screen.
