School Nurse Partners

Cook Children's views school nurses as a key partner in our mission to improve the health of every child in our region through the prevention and treatment of illness, disease and injury. We collaborate with school nurses to:

  • Identify and improve educational gaps for school nurses through the development of targeted educational activities and online resources.
  • Improve coordination of care and communication between the school health provider and Cook Children's physician offices, area clinics, and specialty departments.
  • Provide updates on community resources in areas such as injury prevention, oral health, mental health and immunizations.
