How to Message Your Doctor in the MyCookChildren's App

We know your child's health is a top priority, and staying connected with your child's health providers should be simple. The MyCookChildren's app makes it easy to send messages, ask questions, and even upload photos or documents, all in one place. Here's how to get started.
Step 1: open the app
When you open the app, make sure you've selected the child whose doctor you want to message. You'll see your child's name in bold at the top of the screen.
Step 2: open messaging
To get to the Message Center, tap the messaging button that looks like an envelope in the top right corner of your child's profile.

Step 3: start a message
Welcome to the Message Center! Here, you can view new messages and past conversations. To start a new message, tap the green Send a new message button at the bottom of the page.

Step 4: select a message type
Here, you can select refill a medication, schedule an appointment or ask a medical question. Now you're going to tap Ask a medical question. This is the third option on the page.

Step 5: choose your medical question
You're now on the Medical question page, where you can select the type of question or message you'd like to send. Select the one that most applies to continue.

Step 6: select your provider
On this page, you'll see a list of providers you can message. Select the provider you want to contact. Please note: your message may be seen by your doctor and their care team.

Step 7: write your message
You can now write your message just like you would create an email. Don't forget to add a Subject at the top. If you'd like to add pictures, click the Attach button and select a photo or short video. Once you are happy with your message, tap Send in the lower right hand corner.

You have now sent a message to your child's doctor! Please allow them a few days to respond.
