IMPORTANT:

Currently, Cook Children’s will only perform COVID-19 testing on patients who are admitted for inpatient care. No outpatient settings will perform this testing including specialty clinics.

Appointment and visitation policy:

Time sensitive, emergent and urgent cases will still take place. Parents and guardians will be contacted if their child’s appointment/procedure needs to be rescheduled. If you feel your child’s upcoming procedure or appointment can be postponed at least six weeks, please call your physician’s office. This change is being made in accordance with recommendations by the federal government and the American College of Surgeons.

  • A maximum of one primary caregiver will be allowed per patient, per visit inside Cook Children’s pediatric specialties. Please designate the primary caregiver who will go into the room with your child upon arrival.
  • NO WALK INS. Please call for an appointment and we will help you.
  • Scheduling through myChart Patient Portal will be temporarily disabled. When telemedicine options become available those will be opened on the portal.
  • MASKS: Parents and families, as we continue to follow the recommendations from the CDC, if you have an appointment at our Dodson clinic, our urgent care centers, or any of our other clinics or primary care offices, please bring and wear your own cloth face covering from home. Learn how to make your own cloth face covering or mask here. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.

At Cook Children's Rehabilitation Services, we understand that no two children are alike. That's why we offer four types of therapy plans, tailored specifically for your child and his/her needs. We want to make every appointment unique for each family.
