Conditions and Services
Below you'll find a list of services and common conditions Cook Children's Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology can assist patients with.
Services offered
Initial reproductive health visit
The initial visit will depend on the patient's concerns, medical history, physical and emotional development and the referral reason. It’s our priority to make the patient feel comfortable and to establish a good relationship. Telehealth visits are available.
Contraception counseling and initiation
Discussions should address contraceptive needs, expectations and concerns the patient has. We’ll work to identify the best option for the patient based on their health history.
Menstrual regulation or suppression
For some patients, menstruation can present significant challenges. If, after an evaluation, the patient, her family and our specialists have decided that menstrual intervention is warranted, the advantages and disadvantages of hormonal methods should be reviewed and individualized to each patient's specific needs.
Sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing
Our team is here to assist with STD testing for our patients. Medical records and results are private and kept completely confidential.
