Preparing for Your Visit
What to expect on your first visit:
Initial visits involve a consultation and usually do not require a pelvic exam or pap smear. Our staff will review the patient's medical history as well as complete a physical exam (that usually does not include a pelvic exam). We also like to have an opportunity to meet with the teen separately to discuss any concerns they may not feel comfortable discussing in front of their parents or guardian. The visit will finish with the patient and parent/guardian to talk about the plan of care, any recommendations, as well as counseling on the diagnosis or treatment plan we make.
What you'll need to bring
Bring the following information to your appointment:
- Your photo identification and insurance card(s)
- Paperwork for referrals, authorizations and physician's orders
At the time of check-in, you will be asked to pay any deductibles, co-payments or unmet out-of-pocket expenses that apply. For your convenience, most major credit cards are accepted.
