Resources available during your visit
Medical center visits
- Our medical center is located at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Cooper Street.
- Park in the 7th Avenue garage located at Pennsylvania Avenue and 7th Avenue.

- Park in the P1 garage at Pennsylvania Avenue and 8th Avenue.
- Enter the clinic via the Pruitt Street entrance.

The Panda Cares Center of Hope Sibling Support Center creates a safe place for brothers and sisters to stay during appointments while allowing parents to focus on their child who is a patient.
If your family is in need of spiritual, emotional, and grief support, our chaplains are clinically and theologically trained professionals who offer non-judgmental, compassionate care in a variety of ways. Contact a chaplain at 682-885-4000; 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Cell phone etiquette: If using your phone in CCMC please be mindful of your surroundings.
Onsite services
- ATM: There are two ATMs in the medical center. One is located on the first floor of the medical center near the Emergency Department and the other is located outside of Camelot Court across from the donor wall.
- Internet access: Cook Children's offers free WiFi for your convenience. Logon to guestnet upon your arrival. You can also access the internet at the Matustik Family Health Library.
- Chapel: The chapel is located on the second floor of the main building across from elevator B. The chapel is always open. For service times or to speak with a chaplain, please call 682-885-4030.
- Mail services: Mail services are available 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Mon.-Fri. Patient letters and packages are delivered to the nurses station on each floor during these hours. Outgoing mail can be dropped off at the mailbox located on the first floor of the medical center next to elevator B. Outgoing mail is picked up at 1:30 p.m., Mon.-Fri.
- Computer access: Computers are available in the Matustik Family Resource Center. Please call 682-885-3060 for more information.
- Laundry area: Washers and dryers are available throughout the medical center. Please ask your nurse for the location closest to you. There is no charge for using the washers and dryers. Laundry soap is available for purchase at the Enchanted Castle Marketplace.
- Wagons and wheelchairs: If you need a wagon or wheelchair for patient transport, please talk to a volunteer at Information Desk B or Information Desk D or call extension 682-885-6200.

Your Hematology/Oncology clinical therapy team
Supportive counseling services are provided for patients who have received a hematology/oncology diagnosis. Our H/O clinical therapists focus on mitigating distressing psychosocial symptoms that arise as a result of a medical diagnosis. Therapy may be provided during inpatient hospitalization, as well as outpatient (*services are contingent on insurance approval). If you are interested in pursuing therapeutic support for your child, you can request a clinical therapy consult from any of your child’s medical providers.
Leah Webb, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Leah is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in trauma informed care by utilizing therapeutic modalities such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Leah helps individuals develop coping strategies, and encourages healing through therapeutic interventions. Leah works with patients who have been diagnosed with Leukemia, Lymphoma, or Ewing’s Sarcoma, between the ages of 7-15.
Monica Miller, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Monica is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides Play Therapy for children ages 3-11. Monica works with kiddos who have been diagnosed with solid tumors, neuroblastoma or any child who are struggling emotionally with their treatment. Monica connects and works with children through play and helps children express thoughts and feelings.
Janna Tellez, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Janna Tellez is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides ongoing counseling services to kids and young adults served by CCMC. Janna works primarily with hematology patients dealing with Sickle Cell Disease, Aplastic Anemia and other hematology related diagnoses. Janna Utilizes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and other helpful techniques to benefit patients when dealing with stressful and traumatic events while adjusting to a new diagnosis or managing emotions while experiencing an unexpected or lengthy hospital stay.
Talha Kahn, PhD
AYA Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Khan is a licensed psychologist who provides consults, individual and group therapy to adolescents and young adults who are/have previously been diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Khan works from various evidence based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and more.
