Tri My Best Triathlon
The Tri My Best Triathlon is hosted by Cook Children's Rehabilitation Services each year. Children and young adults with disabilities aged 4-18 are invited to participate in this swim/bike/run event. Participants needing walkers, adaptive bikes and wheelchairs are welcome!
How is the triathlon organized?
Participants are organized by their endurance and assistance needs. Each group will have a different distance to make them successful! Groups rotate through the bike, swim and run/wheel/walk events. Each participant gets a medal when they finish. Buddies are assigned to all participants to help so families can stand back and cheer them on.
Bike: Children will ride a bike with assistance available. You can bring your own bike or borrow an adaptive tricycle. All children must wear a helmet.
Swim: Children swim with assistance available. All children must wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life vest for the swimming. Only one family member is allowed on the pool deck.
Run: Children run/walk/wheel with assistance available.
