The designation, awarded by Congenital Hyperinsulinism International, recognizes centers that provide the highest level of multi-disciplinary care to congenital hyperinsulinism (CHI) patients and their families.</p> <p>Paul Thornton, M.D., is one the most recognized and respected CHI specialists around the world. He leads a multi-specialty team of renowned physicians specialized in endocrinology, pediatric surgery, neonatology, neurology, gastroenterology, pathology and radiology. A dedicated CHI nurse practitioner, social worker, clinical therapist, Child Life specialist, nutritionist and speech therapists all support Dr. Thornton’s team.
