Shining bright! Cook Children’s Pediatric ICU earns Silver Beacon Award!
The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) recognizes the stellar efforts of our PICU nurses for consistently exceeding the high standards set forth by the Beacon Award for Excellence.
Intensive care units that receive this national recognition serve as role models to others on their journey to excellent patient and family care.
Criteria for Beacon Award recognition include:
- Creating and promoting healing environments
- Evidence-based practice and research
- Innovation/excellence in recruitment and retention, education, training, and mentoring
- Leadership and organizational ethics
- Optimized patient outcomes
