Radiothon raises record-breaking $1,045,496.33
May 2023 | The ninth annual Country for the Kids Radiothon raised a record-breaking $1,045,496.33 in December 2022.
Two stations, New Country 96.3 and 99.5 The Wolf, broadcast for two days, all in support of raising funds for Cook Children's. Listeners heard heartwarming stories from patient families, including live and recorded interviews.
"This year's Country for the Kids Radiothon was a great success thanks to the staff, volunteers, our partnership with 99.5 The Wolf and 96.3 KSCS. But most importantly, because of the hundreds of donors in the community that listened to the compelling stories of the incredible care and moments of magic that take place at Cook Children's and generously gave their support," said Grant Harris, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer, Cook Children's Health Foundation.
The money raised was nearly double the previous record set in 2021 with $630,000 in donations.
In addition to the Cook Children's Health Foundation, help from multiple departments and volunteers were pivotal to ensuring the event went smoothly. We're eternally grateful to the generosity of our community for helping make this year's Radiothon a success.
