Gastroenterology Specialty Programs
Cook Children's gastroenterology team treats all kinds of gastrointestinal conditions, from those that require minimal medical care, to very complex congenital and acquired conditions. And, because many conditions can develop even before birth, our patients range from prenatal all through the early adult years.
Our highly skilled team of recognized pediatric specialists is well-known for their expertise and work closely with other specialties and teams for patients who may have complex conditions.
Combined with advanced technologies and leading-edge medicine, you can trust that your child is in good hands.
Our pediatric gastroenterologists have specialized training in caring for children of all ages. If your child has symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), our team is ready to provide the answers you need.
Using minimally invasive procedures known as endoscopy to help us see inside your child's digestive system we can diagnose and treat a range of GI disorders with this approach, avoiding surgery in many cases.
If your child has been diagnosed with a serious gastrointestinal disorder or feeding intolerance and has not responded to previous treatment or medication our team help.
Starting with your first visit to Cook Children's, you'll appreciate our commitment to meeting your child's needs. We'll start by finding the source of your child's symptoms. We use the latest testing for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
