Coming Fall 2023
September 2022 | At Cook Children's, patient-centered care is a priority and our teams are constantly driven to improve how we provide that. Our thoughts focus on how and what we can change to better serve our patient families.
We know that coordinating care for a child with a complex diagnosis, across multiple locations and through a number of specialists, can be a barrier to treatment.
That's why Cook Children's created the Jane and John Justin Institute for Mind Health. It helps combine commonly overlapping specialties. For families, this means easily accessible, well-coordinated and comprehensive care.
The combination of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuropsychology, Psychology, Psychiatry and Developmental Pediatrics is about more than convenience. It will foster collaboration among clinicians so that walking across the hall to consult with one another on a patient's case will be the norm. For patients, this translates to better care.
These specialties will join under one roof at the completion of the Dodson Specialty Clinics expansion project in the fall of 2023.
