Christmastime at Cook Children's is a magical time for many of our patients and families. "Believe" is meant to be a snapshot of both the fanciful moments of this cozy time of year when believing is easy for some, as well as a warm blanket for the colder nights when believing is not so easy for others. Starting with a funky, upbeat original song, "Why Must This Time of Year Go?" written and sung by 4 Cook patients, this peppermint sleigh ride travels through a few known (and not-so-well known) Christmas tunes, into a beautiful Christmas story, "Scooter's Christmas" (written by a Fort Worth writer, voiced with some of our patients), and ending with a deeply moving version of "Hallelujah," sung by one of our extremely gifted patients.
Whether you are entering Christmas filled with hope, or struggling to find it again, our hope is that, by the end of this sleigh ride, you may, in some small way, be encouraged to keep believing.
