Neurology Outpatient Care
Designed with patients and families in mind, our dedicated Neurosciences Center provides ongoing care, appointments, infusions, procedures, and clinics together under one roof.
Life is complicated enough when you have a child with a brain or nervous system illness or disorder. Part of our job is to make sure that access to family-centered care is as simple as possible so that you can spend less time getting from one place to the next, and more time with your child. Our Neurosciences Center is located in our Dodson Building on the main campus of Cook Children's. The center is home to our many neurosciences programs and clinics, including:
- Neurology
- Neurosurgery
- Neuro-Oncology
- Neuropsychology
- Neurodiagnostics
- Epilepsy Surgery Clinic
- Movement Disorders Clinic
- Multiple Sclerosis Clinic
- Stroke clinic
- And more

Because neurological illnesses and disorders can affect many other areas of the body, outpatients also benefit from having all of Cook Children's specialties located just an elevator ride away, should the need arise. In these cases, it also makes it easier for your child's medical teams to work together to assure that all levels of care are well-coordinated. This means not only easy access for you, but also access to more optimized medical care and outcomes for your child.
The John and Jane Justin Neurosciences Center is also near other services your child may need such as Neurorehabilitation, Emergency Services, Urgent Care, Child Life and our Retail Pharmacy.
In addition to our full-services outpatient care at the medical center, access to neurological services is offered at multiple locations throughout North Texas for your added convenience.
Pharmacy
Unlike adults, children have very unique requirements when it comes to medicine, and precision is key. So is the ability to quickly administer prescriptions. Our on-site pharmacy assures each child's medicine is designed especially for them and – in nearly all cases – their prescriptions can be filled immediately. Our pharmacy adds to your convenience since most prescriptions can be filled during the patient's visit. That means that those patients who need their medications that same day don't have to worry about getting to their local pharmacy before closing time and patients traveling long distances, or who are tired after a day at the center, don't have to make that extra trip to the pharmacy. See what we offer.
